Caption Reality Privacy Choices

Caption Reality provides privacy and account controls that let eligible users manage important choices related to artificial-intelligence processing, profile privacy, blocked accounts, notifications, account information, and account deletion.

Artificial Intelligence Processing Consent
Caption Reality uses third-party artificial-intelligence and infrastructure providers when you request AI caption generation.
When you request AI caption generation, Caption Reality may send the captured image or an appropriate video frame, selected creation settings, and necessary contextual text to third-party AI or infrastructure providers so the requested result can be generated.
Caption Reality records AI-processing consent on the server. The consent record includes the applicable consent version, acceptance or withdrawal event, timestamp, and app-build information.

Caption Reality will not proceed with supported AI caption generation when the required AI-processing consent is missing, withdrawn, or outdated.
Managing AI Processing Consent
Signed-in users can manage AI-processing consent inside Caption Reality.
Go to:
Settings → Privacy & Safety → AI Processing Consent
From there, you can view and manage your current AI-processing consent status.
If you withdraw AI-processing consent, Caption Reality stops supported AI caption generation that requires that consent.
Withdrawing consent does not necessarily delete information that was lawfully processed before withdrawal or information that must be retained for security, legal, fraud-prevention, dispute, or other legitimate purposes described in the Privacy Policy.
Re-Consenting to AI Processing
If you withdraw AI-processing consent and later try to use a supported AI caption-generation feature, Caption Reality requires you to consent again before the request can proceed.
Caption Reality also requires renewed consent when the required consent version changes and your previous consent is no longer current.
AI processing is designed to fail closed when valid consent cannot be confirmed.
Profile Privacy
Caption Reality provides profile-privacy controls for eligible accounts.
Privacy settings may determine whether eligible profile content is visible to other authenticated Caption Reality users.
Age-based safety requirements may require stricter privacy settings for some accounts.
Profile privacy does not override blocking, reporting, moderation, age-safety, or other platform protections.
Blocked Accounts
Caption Reality provides blocking and unblocking controls across supported community features.
Blocked accounts can be managed through:
Settings → Privacy & Safety → Blocked Accounts
Where supported, you can review accounts you have blocked and choose to unblock them.
Blocking and unblocking remain subject to Caption Reality’s privacy, safety, moderation, age, and account-status rules.
Notifications
You can manage supported Caption Reality notification preferences inside the app and can also manage operating-system notification permission through your device settings.
Disabling notifications may prevent some alerts from appearing on your device, but it does not necessarily disable the underlying in-app activity or account event.
Account Information
Eligible account and profile information can be managed through the supported account and profile controls inside Caption Reality.
Some information may be required for account eligibility, authentication, safety, age protection, security, legal compliance, subscription access, or service operation and therefore may not be removable while the account remains active.
Account Deletion
Caption Reality provides an in-app account-deletion process.
Deleting your account begins permanent deletion of eligible account-associated server data.
Certain information may be retained where reasonably necessary or legally permitted for security, fraud prevention, moderation history, legal compliance, disputes, backups, or service integrity.
Deleting a Caption Reality account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.
If you have an active paid subscription and do not want it to renew, manage or cancel that subscription separately through your Apple account.
Reports and Safety Controls
Caption Reality provides in-app reporting controls for supported posts, profiles, comments, replies, direct messages, and other eligible community content or conduct.
Where possible, use the reporting control attached to the relevant content or account so Caption Reality can preserve the appropriate context for review.
Caption Reality also provides blocking, moderation, age-based protections, and other safety controls described in the Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy.

Additional rights may apply depending on where you live and applicable law.
Caption Reality may request information reasonably necessary to verify that a privacy request relates to the correct account before acting on the request.
Changes to Privacy Choices
Caption Reality may update available privacy controls when the app, service providers, legal requirements, platform requirements, safety systems, or data practices change.
Material changes to AI-processing consent may require a new consent version before affected AI features can be used again.
The effective date and version shown at the top identify the current published version of this page.
